The 3M 7010365060 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt engineered for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, producing a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish from start to finish. The belt measures 42 inches in length and 1 inch in width, making it suited for narrow-contact finishing setups. Licensed abrasive technicians and metalworking professionals working in manual or robotic grinding cells are the primary installers and users of this product.
This belt is designed for intermediate and fine finishing steps prior to plating, buffing, or other surface-treatment operations. Its flexible rayon cloth backing allows the belt to conform to contoured and irregular workpiece profiles, delivering surface consistency across complex geometries. The three-dimensional abrasive structure is particularly well suited for robotic finishing cells where repeatable, uniform finish quality is required across high production volumes. It outperforms conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts in finish consistency and run temperature.
Designed for use on belt finishing machines that accept a 42-inch by 1-inch abrasive belt, commonly used in metalworking, fabrication, and surface preparation operations ahead of plating or buffing.
Installation should be performed by qualified metalworking or maintenance personnel familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the machine before changing belts. Verify correct belt tracking and tension per the equipment manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage before each use and do not exceed the machine's rated operating speed.
