The 3M 7010365038 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into precisely shaped three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This self-renewing action delivers a consistent cut rate and predictable finish quality throughout the life of the belt. The cloth backing provides flexibility to conform to contoured workpiece surfaces. Fabricators, metal finishers, and robotic grinding cell operators use this belt where finish consistency and repeatability are critical.
This belt is suited for intermediate stock removal and fine polishing on metal surfaces prior to plating, buffing, or coating operations. The three-dimensional abrasive structure makes it well matched to automated and robotic finishing lines, where consistent finish quality from first contact to end of belt life is required. It is also used in manual and semi-automatic wide belt finishing operations on flat and contoured metal components.
