The 3M 7010364869 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for precision finishing in industrial and fabrication environments. It uses microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into structured pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish from the start of the belt's life to the end. Licensed abrasive technicians and finishing operators working in automated or semi-automated lines will find this belt well-suited to demanding intermediate and fine-finishing operations.
This belt is built for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications prior to plating or buffing. The flexible rayon backing allows the belt to conform to contoured and irregular surfaces, making it effective for both flat stock and complex geometry workpieces. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure supports consistent surface finish results in robotic and automated finishing systems where repeatability is critical. It is also suited to manual precision finishing where a controlled, predictable scratch pattern is required before a final surface treatment step.
Designed as a coated abrasive belt for use on belt sanders and finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 1.25-inch belt configuration in industrial, metalworking, and fabrication finishing applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified finishing technician following the machine manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and lock out the belt sander or finishing machine before replacing the belt. Verify belt tracking tension and tracking alignment after installation and before resuming production. Inspect the belt for proper seam orientation per machine requirements before operation.
