The 3M 7010364861 is a Trizact 237AA abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and coated onto an X-weight cloth backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear down during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This delivers a consistent cut rate and a predictable, repeatable finish throughout the life of the belt. At 60 inches long and 25 inches wide, it is sized for wide-belt finishing equipment used in industrial and fabrication environments. The flexible cloth backing allows the belt to conform to contoured workpiece surfaces without losing finish consistency.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing steps prior to plating or buffing operations. It performs well in both manual and robotic finishing setups, where its three-dimensional abrasive structure produces uniform surface finishes across long production runs. Typical applications include metal fabrication, surface preparation on formed components, and finish work on parts that require tight surface-roughness tolerances before downstream coating or plating. Fabrication shops, aerospace subcontractors, and industrial finishing operations are the primary users of this belt type.
Designed for use on wide-belt finishing machines that accept 60-inch by 25-inch abrasive belts. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal workpieces requiring intermediate finishing or fine polishing prior to plating or buffing.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by qualified machine operators following the equipment manufacturer's procedures. Power down and lock out the finishing machine before mounting or removing the belt. Verify belt tracking and tension settings on the machine before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage before each use.
