The 3M 7010364860 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in industrial and manufacturing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed, maintaining a consistent cut rate and producing a predictable, fine surface finish. The belt measures 36 inches in length and 4 inches in width and is suited for high-cycle robotic or automated sanding operations as well as manual finishing work.
This belt is intended for use in metalworking environments where a controlled, repeatable finish is required prior to plating, buffing, or final surface inspection. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured surfaces, making it appropriate for curved components and complex geometries. It is commonly used by metal fabricators, tool and die shops, and finishing technicians working on aluminum, stainless steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The three-dimensional abrasive structure delivers more consistent results across the full life of the belt compared to conventional electrostatically coated abrasives.
Designed for use on standard belt grinding and finishing machines that accept 4 inch wide by 36 inch long abrasive belts. Suitable for metalworking applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals requiring controlled pre-plate or pre-buff surface finishing.
Installation should be performed by trained finishing or maintenance personnel familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Verify the machine is powered off and all moving parts have come to a complete stop before replacing the belt. Confirm proper belt tension and tracking alignment before resuming operation. Follow the equipment manufacturer's guidelines and applicable workplace safety standards when operating belt grinders and finishing machines.
