The 3M 7010364850 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt built on proprietary microreplication technology. Micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed at the cutting face. The result is a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish throughout the life of the belt. At 132 inches long and 2 inches wide, this belt is sized for industrial and robotic finishing lines where repeatable surface quality is critical.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing operations prior to plating or buffing. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece geometries, making it suitable for components that are not flat. The three-dimensional pyramid structure produces finer, more uniform finishes than conventionally electrostatically coated abrasives. Typical applications include precision metal finishing in fabrication shops, production grinding lines, and automated robotic polishing cells where consistent finish grades must be maintained across high part volumes.
Designed for use on belt grinders and finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 2-inch abrasive belt. Confirm platen or contact-wheel size and belt-drive configuration on the host machine before installation.
Belt installation should be performed by qualified shop personnel with the machine de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer specifications before running under load. Inspect the belt for tears or delamination before each use and replace immediately if damage is found. Do not exceed the maximum operating speed rating of the host machine or the belt.
