The 3M 7010364529 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for surface finishing, blending, and conditioning on a range of metallic and non-metallic substrates. Built on a durable cloth and polyester scrim backing, this non-woven belt resists stretching during operation, making it well-suited for consistent, controlled finishing passes. The aluminum oxide (AO) mineral is bonded with resin throughout an open-web nylon fiber construction that stays load-resistant and self-clears debris to extend abrasive service life. HVAC fabricators, metal finishers, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians reach for this belt when the job calls for finishing without aggressive stock removal.
This belt is intended for use on hand-held and stationary belt finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 1-inch belt. It performs across a broad range of substrates including stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and mild steel. The open non-woven web and moderate-strength backing make it suitable for intermediate steps in multi-sequence finishing workflows, as well as standalone blending and deburring operations in light fabrication and maintenance environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard consumable for belt finishing machines accepting a 132-inch by 1-inch non-woven surface conditioning belt.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the belt finishing machine before changing the belt. Verify belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before starting the tool. Inspect the belt for tears or damage before each use and do not exceed the machine's rated speed.
