The 3M 7010364285 Scotch-Brite ST-WL is a convolute deburring wheel built for high-demand metalworking applications. This higher-density wheel removes sharp burrs and radii from stainless steel, titanium, and other hard-to-finish alloys without loading or glazing. The non-woven web construction continuously exposes fresh abrasive as the wheel wears, maintaining consistent cut and finish throughout the wheel's life. At 12 inches in diameter and 2.6 inches in width, it fits standard arbor-mounted bench and pedestal grinders used in fabrication and finishing operations. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and metalworking fabricators are the primary installers and operators of this product.
This convolute wheel is suited for deburring and edge-radiusing intricate parts, contoured profiles, and complex geometries that would be difficult to address with rigid abrasive wheels. It performs well on stainless steel, titanium, and similarly demanding alloys in both job-shop and production environments. Its conformability allows it to follow irregular surfaces without aggressive stock removal, making it useful when a controlled, consistent finish on detailed parts is required.
Designed for use on arbor-mounted bench grinders and pedestal grinders accepting a 12-inch diameter convolute wheel. Suited for metalworking applications involving stainless steel, titanium, and similar hard alloys requiring controlled deburring and edge finishing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with abrasive wheel mounting procedures. Before mounting, power down and lock out the grinder in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout requirements. Verify that the grinder's rated speed meets or exceeds the wheel's maximum operating RPM before use. Inspect the wheel for damage prior to mounting and follow the grinder manufacturer's flanging and guarding requirements.
