The 3M 7010363900 is a 3-inch coated abrasive disc engineered for both stock removal and finishing work across metal fabrication and surface prep applications. It combines ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a blended mineral system that self-sharpens during use, maintaining a consistent cut rate longer than standard aluminum oxide discs. The heavy polyester backing is water-resistant and rated for medium-pressure use in wet and dry conditions. A grinding aid embedded in the disc reduces heat buildup, making it suitable for heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium. Licensed tradespeople in metal fabrication, welding shops, and industrial maintenance use this disc for controlled material removal and surface finishing.
This disc is designed for rotary disc grinder applications where consistent cut rate and durability are required. The Roloca attachment system allows fast, secure disc mounting and removal without adhesive backing complications. It is well suited for medium-pressure grinding and finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including heat-sensitive alloys where thermal control during grinding matters. The 60-grit rating positions it as a general-purpose stock removal option before transitioning to finer finishing steps.
Designed for use with rotary disc grinders and tools compatible with the Roloca attachment system and accepting 3-inch abrasive discs.
Mounting and disc changes should be performed with the grinder powered off and unplugged or locked out per OSHA lockout-tagout procedures. Verify that the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum rated speed of the disc before use. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows tears, delamination, or abnormal wear. Safe use and grinding practices should follow applicable ANSI B7 standards for abrasive products.
