The 3M 7010363870 is a straight cartridge roll designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal and wood substrates. It uses aluminum oxide abrasive on a cloth backing, delivering consistent cut and durability through repeated passes. At 120 grit, it falls in the fine grade range, making it suited for refining surfaces after initial stock removal. The roll measures 1 inch in diameter and is rated for a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians install it into mandrel-mounted rotary tools, die grinders, and portable drills for controlled internal and contoured finishing work.
This cartridge roll is used in metal fabrication, automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing environments where internal bore finishing, radius blending, or contour work is required. It performs well on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as composite materials. The fine 120 grit designation makes it appropriate as a follow-up abrasive after coarser stock removal steps, producing a refined surface ready for inspection or further finishing operations. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed for use with mandrel-mounted die grinders, portable drills, and rotary tools that accept straight cartridge rolls with a 1 inch diameter form factor.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabricators using a compatible mandrel sized to the cartridge roll bore. Ensure the tool is fully de-energized and unplugged before mounting or removing the roll. Never exceed the rated maximum speed of 12,000 RPM. Inspect the roll for damage before each use and follow applicable ANSI abrasive product safety standards.
