The 3M 7010363831 is an aluminum oxide abrasive cartridge roll built for aggressive material removal in tight spaces. Constructed on an X-weight cloth backing, it delivers the rigidity and durability needed for contour grinding, deburring, and surface blending on metal and similar substrates. The resin bond system resists heat buildup during extended use, helping the abrasive grain stay fixed and cut consistently. At 60 grit, this roll sits in the coarse range, making it well suited for fast stock removal before finishing steps. The compact 0.625-inch x 1.5-inch x 0.125-inch dimensions fit standard cartridge roll mandrels used in die grinders and straight-line tools.
This cartridge roll is used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and field service environments wherever technicians need to grind, deburr, or blend inside bores, slots, and contoured surfaces. The 60-grit X-weight cloth construction handles demanding applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is sold by the roll, with a minimum order quantity of 100 rolls, making it appropriate for shop stock or production line replenishment rather than single-unit purchase.
Designed for use with standard cartridge roll mandrels compatible with 0.125-inch arbor shanks, as used in pneumatic and electric die grinders and straight-line grinders common in metal fabrication and maintenance applications.
Installation is performed by threading the cartridge roll onto a compatible mandrel and tightening to the mandrel manufacturer's specification before use. Always verify the tool RPM rating does not exceed the maximum rated speed of the abrasive before mounting. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when operating rotary abrasive tools. Inspect the roll for damage or unraveling before each use and discard any roll showing signs of deterioration.
