The 3M 7010363545 is an aluminum oxide cartridge roll designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface blending in trade and industrial applications. Built on an X-weight cloth backing, it offers durability under moderate to heavy pressure. The resin bond holds abrasive grains securely and adds heat resistance, extending roll life during continuous use. At 50 grit, this roll cuts aggressively on metal, making it well suited for weld blending, edge work, and inside-diameter finishing on bores, ports, and tubing ends. It measures 3/8 inches in diameter by 1-1/2 inches in length with a 1/8-inch arbor hole, and it is sold by the roll with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Cartridge rolls in this size and grit range are a standard consumable in metal fabrication shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in, and maintenance grinding. The 3/8-inch diameter fits mandrels commonly used with die grinders and right-angle tools for reaching confined areas such as pipe joints, valve bodies, and weld beads inside tubing. The 50 grit X-weight construction handles steel, stainless, aluminum, and other ferrous and non-ferrous metals without rapid breakdown under shop conditions.
Designed for use with die grinder mandrels accepting a 1/8-inch arbor cartridge roll in the 3/8-inch diameter size class.
Cartridge rolls are installed by a machinist, fabricator, or trade technician onto a matching threaded or tapered mandrel secured in a die grinder or rotary tool. Verify the mandrel shank size and maximum RPM rating match the tool before mounting. Inspect the roll for damage before each use and never exceed the rated operating speed. Eye protection and appropriate hand protection should be worn whenever abrasive tooling is in operation.
