The 3M 7010362609 is a Cubitron II 784F cloth abrasive belt engineered for medium-pressure grinding and blending on metal surfaces. It measures 132 inches long by 3 inches wide and runs at 60 grit. The belt uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology, which combines shaped ceramic mineral with premium aluminum oxide to deliver a faster, more consistent cut than conventional ceramic aluminum oxide belts. A durable resin bond resists heat-related deterioration, and a grinding aid helps cool the abrasive zone during work on heat-sensitive alloys. Licensed trades and industrial fabricators use this belt in both manual and automated grinding setups.
This belt is suited for grinding and blending straight and contoured metal surfaces in both residential fabrication shops and commercial or industrial production environments. The moderately flexible YF-weight polyester backing conforms to surface geometry, making it practical for weld blending, stock removal, and surface prep on a range of alloy and non-alloy metals. It performs in wet or dry conditions, and its construction supports use in robotic, pressure-assisted, and manual belt grinder applications where consistent cut rate and reduced changeout frequency matter.
Designed for use on all metals in medium-pressure grinding and blending applications, including robotic and pressure-assisted belt grinder systems compatible with 132-inch by 3-inch abrasive belts at 60 grit.
Install and replace abrasive belts only with the grinder powered off and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Confirm belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or joint separation before each use. Abrasive belt replacement is typically performed by machine operators or maintenance technicians following the equipment manufacturer's guidelines.
