The 3M 7010362281 is a ceramic abrasive fiber disc from the Cubitron II 987C series, designed for aggressive material removal on heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome. The ceramic grain self-sharpens continuously during use, maintaining a sharp cutting edge longer than conventional abrasives. An additional coating reduces surface temperatures at the grinding interface, which is critical when working with alloys that are prone to heat distortion or discoloration. At 80 grit, this disc handles medium-duty stock removal while keeping the workpiece surface cool and clean. Packaged in a 25-count pack, it suits high-volume fabrication and finishing operations.
This disc is intended for use on angle grinders equipped with a TN Quick-Change arbor system, accepting a 5/8-11 arbor hole. It is suited for metal fabrication shops, aerospace maintenance, and industrial welding environments where stainless steel and exotic alloys are regularly processed. The 4.5-inch diameter and closed-coat fiber backing make it well-matched to surface grinding, weld blending, and edge deburring tasks on flat and contoured workpieces. Typical users include sheet metal fabricators, pipe welders, and maintenance technicians working with premium alloys.
Designed for use with angle grinders fitted with a TN Quick-Change 5/8-11 arbor. Suitable for grinding stainless steel, nickel alloys, cobalt, Inconel, titanium, and chrome workpieces.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by qualified grinding equipment operators following ANSI B11 and tool manufacturer safety guidelines. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing a disc. Verify the grinder free speed does not exceed the 13,300 RPM disc rating before operation. Operators should wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection when using abrasive discs.
