The 3M 7010362122 is a coated abrasive belt designed for flat-surface sanding and finishing in woodworking applications. Built with silicon carbide mineral bonded to an F-weight paper backing, this belt delivers finer surface finishes than aluminum oxide or open-coat abrasives of the same grit grade. The semi-closed coat construction controls material removal while reducing loading. At 103 inches long and 52 inches wide with a P180 grit rating, this belt is sized for wide-belt sanders used in professional cabinet, furniture, and millwork shops. Woodworking technicians and industrial finishing crews are the primary installers and operators.
This belt is intended for wide-belt drum sander applications where flat, consistent finishes on wood panels, doors, or sheet goods are required. The F-weight paper backing is one of the heaviest paper substrates available, providing the rigidity needed for even contact across wide workpieces. The semi-closed coat spacing efficiently handles fine finishing passes without excessive clogging. It runs in either direction, which extends usable belt life in production environments.
Designed for use on wide-belt drum sanders that accept 103-inch by 52-inch abrasive belts in woodworking and industrial flat-surface finishing applications.
Wide-belt abrasive installation should be performed by qualified machine operators following the sander manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and lock out the machine before removing or installing the belt. Confirm belt tracking adjustment after installation and before resuming production. Inspect the splice area for alignment before first use.
