The 3M 7010362121 is a coated abrasive belt designed for flat surface sanding and finishing in woodworking applications. Built with silicon carbide mineral bonded to an F-weight paper backing, this belt delivers a finer finish than aluminum oxide abrasives of the same grade. The semi-closed coat construction removes material efficiently while producing a consistent surface finish. At 103 inches long and 52 inches wide, it is sized for wide-belt sanding machines used in cabinet, furniture, and millwork production. Licensed tradespeople and production woodworking shops are the primary installers and users of this belt.
This belt suits wide-belt drum sanders in both residential shop and commercial production environments. The F-weight paper backing is among the heaviest and most durable paper substrates available, giving it greater stiffness and longevity than lighter paper grades. The P220 grit rating makes it appropriate for finish sanding and final surface preparation before coating, staining, or sealing. The belt runs in either direction, providing operational flexibility on compatible machinery.
Designed for use on wide-belt drum sanding machines that accept belts measuring 103 inches in length and 52 inches in width. Suited for woodworking applications including flat panel sanding, furniture components, and millwork finishing.
Wide-belt abrasive belts should be installed and tensioned by qualified machine operators following the sander manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lockout the machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears or splice separation before each use and do not operate a damaged belt. Ensure tracking adjustments are made gradually with the machine running at low speed before full production use.
