The 3M 7010362119 is a coated abrasive belt designed for sanding and finishing flat surfaces in woodworking applications. Built on a heavy F-weight paper backing, it carries a closed-coat layer of aluminum oxide mineral that delivers aggressive stock removal and a consistent finish. The anti-static treatment reduces dust buildup and loading during operation. At 103 inches long and 50 inches wide, this belt is sized for wide-belt sanders used in production and shop environments. The film media splice creates a strong joint that runs smoothly in either direction, reducing vibration and tracking issues.
This belt is suited for sanding and finishing hardwoods and other flat wood surfaces on wide-belt drum sanders. The closed-coat aluminum oxide construction produces a finer finish on hardwoods compared to open-coat abrasives at the same grit. P220 grit makes it appropriate for finish sanding passes where surface quality is the priority. It is commonly used in cabinet shops, millwork operations, and flooring production lines where consistent scratch patterns and low loading are required.
Designed for use on wide-belt sanders accepting belts measuring 103 inches in length and 50 inches in width.
Belt installation should be performed by qualified shop personnel with the sander powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Confirm belt tracking adjustment before resuming operation. Inspect the splice joint for alignment before running the belt under load. Follow the sander manufacturer guidelines for tension and tracking settings.
