The 3M 7010361903 is an aluminum oxide coated abrasive belt designed for wide belt and edge sanding applications in woodworking environments. Built on a heavyweight cloth backing, this belt handles both rough material removal and final finishing passes. The open coat construction paired with an anti-static treatment keeps the abrasive surface clear of debris, maintaining cut rate across the full service life of the belt. A resin bond system locks the mineral to the backing under high heat and pressure conditions. At P100 grit, it covers a broad range of intermediate sanding stages for solid wood, panel products, and similar substrates.
This belt measures 60 inches in length and 37 inches in width, sizing it for wide belt sanding machines common in production woodworking and cabinet shops. The washable cloth backing makes it a practical choice for resinous species such as pine, where pitch loading can prematurely shorten belt life. Finishing shops, millwork operations, and production floor technicians are the primary installers and users of this belt format.
Designed for use on wide belt sanders and edge sanding machines that accept a 60-inch by 37-inch abrasive belt format.
Belt installation should be performed by qualified machine operators following the equipment manufacturer's procedures. Always power down and lock out the sanding machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears, fraying, or edge damage before mounting, and confirm proper tracking adjustment before resuming operation. Follow all applicable shop safety and machine guarding requirements during belt changes.
