The 3M 7010361473 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt built on a flexible rayon cloth backing with aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. Instead of loose grain, the mineral is formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids using microreplication technology. As the surface pyramids wear during use, fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed from within, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable finish quality from the start of the belt's life to the end. The belt measures 148 inches in length and 2 inches in width, making it suitable for wide-stroke and contour finishing applications. Total weight is 0.33 pounds.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal workpieces prior to plating, buffing, or coating operations. The flexible rayon backing conforms to curved and contoured surfaces, allowing even contact across irregular geometry. The pyramid structure runs cooler than conventional abrasive grains, which reduces heat buildup on heat-sensitive workpieces. It is particularly well suited for robotic and automated finishing lines where consistent finish repeatability across an entire abrasive lot is required. Aerospace, automotive, and precision metalworking environments are typical deployment settings.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 148-inch by 2-inch abrasive belt applications on wide-stroke sanders, stroke sanders, and automated belt finishing equipment configured for that belt size.
Installation and replacement should be performed by qualified grinding and finishing equipment operators following the equipment manufacturer's belt-change procedures. Power down and de-energize the machine completely before removing or installing the belt. Verify belt tension and tracking per the machine manufacturer's specifications before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears, delamination, or joint separation before each use and do not operate a damaged belt.
