The 3M 7010361212 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt engineered for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal surfaces. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into structured pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed, producing a consistent cut rate and predictable surface finish throughout the belt's service life. At 106 inches long and 4 inches wide, this belt fits wide-platen and large-drum finishing machines common in fabrication and metalworking shops.
This belt is designed for automated and robotic grinding applications where finish consistency is critical across the full abrasive life. It is well suited for intermediate stock removal and fine polishing steps before plating, buffing, or coating operations. Typical applications include finishing stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals in production environments. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece profiles, making it useful for both flat and irregular surface finishing runs.
Designed as a replacement or production-run abrasive belt for wide-platen, drum, or contact-wheel belt grinders and finishing machines accepting a 106-inch by 4-inch belt configuration.
Belt installation and tensioning should be performed by qualified grinding machine operators following the equipment manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the belt. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation, and confirm the machine's maximum RPM rating is compatible with the belt size. Inspect the belt for damage before each use.
