The 3M 7010361208 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt built on a flexible rayon cloth backing with aluminum oxide mineral formed into a microreplication structure. Instead of loose abrasive grains randomly distributed across the surface, the mineral is shaped into uniform three-dimensional pyramids. As each pyramid wears down, fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and a predictable surface finish throughout the life of the belt. At 90 inches long and 2 inches wide, this belt is sized for production belt grinders and automated finishing systems where repeatable results matter.
This belt is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications ahead of plating, buffing, or final inspection. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and curved workpieces, making it suitable for both flat and irregular surfaces. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure makes it particularly well-suited for robotic and automated finishing lines where consistent, repeatable finishes across every part are required. It produces finer surface finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts of comparable grit designation.
Designed for use on standard belt grinding and finishing machines that accept 90 inch by 2 inch abrasive belts. Verify drive drum diameter, contact wheel hardness, and machine speed ratings before installation.
Installation should be performed by qualified grinding or finishing equipment operators following the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lockout/tagout the machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears or splice damage before mounting, and confirm belt tracking direction matches the arrow marked on the belt backing. Do not exceed the maximum operating speed rating of the belt or the machine.
