The 3M 7010361201 is a coated abrasive cloth belt designed for stock removal and metal finishing applications in fabrication, manufacturing, and metalworking environments. It combines ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a blend that cuts faster and outlasts conventional aluminum oxide belts. The heavyweight polyester cloth backing handles high-pressure grinding without breakdown and supports both wet and dry operation. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup during use, making this belt well suited for stainless steel and other heat-sensitive metals. Licensed tradespeople and industrial fabricators working with angle grinders, belt grinders, and backstand equipment are the primary users.
This belt is sized at 75 inches in length and 52 inches in width, placing it in the large-format category used on industrial floor-standing and backstand belt grinders. P150 grit positions it in the medium range, appropriate for blending, finishing, and light stock removal after coarser operations. It is built for metal finishing lines, weld blending, and production grinding where belt life and consistent cut rate are critical. The belt can be run dry or with a lubricant, extending its application range to heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel and nickel alloys.
Designed for use on industrial belt grinders and backstand machines accepting 75-inch by 52-inch abrasive cloth belts in metalworking and fabrication applications.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the grinder manufacturer's mounting instructions. Confirm belt tracking and tension before running at full speed. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears, edge damage, or splice separation before each use and do not exceed the maximum operating speed rating of the grinder.
