The 3M 7010360779 is a Roloc quick-change coated abrasive disc designed for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing on all metals. The disc uses fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a YF-weight polyester cloth backing with a heat-resistant resin system. At 80 grit and a 4 inch diameter, it handles medium-pressure applications and operates at up to 15000 RPM. The resin bond resists heat and moisture, making the disc compatible with both wet and dry use. This disc is installed and removed with a Roloc-style quick-change attachment, keeping tool downtime low during production or field work.
This disc is suited for metal fabrication, welding shops, and maintenance operations where a fast material removal rate and consistent finish are required on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Typical applications include weld blending, surface conditioning, and edge deburring on flat and contoured workpieces. The 4 inch format fits standard right-angle grinders and die grinders equipped with a Roloc-compatible mandrel. Both wet and dry grinding environments are supported, making it adaptable to shop floor and field conditions.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible mandrels on right-angle grinders and die grinders. Fits standard 4 inch quick-change tool systems used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and welding applications.
Installation is performed by pressing the disc firmly onto a Roloc-compatible mandrel until it locks in place and removing by pressing the mandrel release tab. Verify the grinder speed rating does not exceed 15000 RPM before mounting the disc. Always inspect the disc for damage before use and ensure the work surface is secured. Follow applicable ANSI and OSHA grinding safety standards, including the use of appropriate eye and face protection.
