The 3M 7010360745 is a coated abrasive cloth belt engineered for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing operations on metal surfaces. Built on a tough polyester backing, this belt uses aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded with a heat-resistant resin system that holds up under pressure, heat, and wet conditions. At P220 grit, it delivers consistent cut and surface refinement in both light and medium-pressure applications. It measures 60 inches in length and 9 inches in width, making it a standard fit for wide-belt and backstand setups. Licensed metalworking shops, fabricators, and finishing technicians are the primary installers and end users of this belt.
This belt is well suited for stainless steel coil finishing, sheet grinding, and centerless grinding applications where flexibility and heat resistance are critical. Its construction supports both wet and dry use, making it adaptable to a range of shop environments. The P220 grit classification places it in the fine-finishing range, appropriate for final-pass blending and surface conditioning on all metals, including stainless steel. It is sold individually (each unit) with a minimum order quantity of 20.
Designed as a standard coated abrasive cloth belt for wide-belt, backstand, and centerless grinding equipment accepting a 60-inch by 9-inch belt form factor.
Installation should be performed by qualified metalworking or grinding equipment operators following the machine manufacturer's belt-change procedures. Power down and de-energize the grinder or belt finishing unit completely before replacing the belt. Inspect the contact wheel, idler, and tracking adjustment for wear before mounting a new belt. Verify belt tracking direction and tension per equipment specifications before resuming operation.
