The 3M 7010360654 is a coated abrasive cloth belt designed for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing operations on metal workpieces. Built around sharp silicon carbide mineral bonded to a tough polyester cloth backing with a heat-resistant resin system, this belt delivers fast cutting action and a consistent surface finish from the start of belt life through to the end. At 156 inches long and 4 inches wide with a P120 grit rating, it fits backstand grinders commonly used in fabrication, maintenance, and metal finishing work. Licensed trades and production shops handling ferrous and non-ferrous metals will find this belt suited to both wet and dry applications.
This belt is intended for use on backstand grinders in industrial, fabrication, and maintenance environments. P120 grit positions it in the fine-finishing range, making it well suited for surface conditioning, deburring sharp edges, and blending weld seams on all metal types. The polyester cloth backing resists tearing and nicking even under heavy-duty grinding pressure, supporting both light finishing passes and more aggressive stock removal without compromising belt integrity. HVAC sheet metal fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance technicians working with metal ductwork, pipe, or structural components are typical end users.
Designed for use on backstand grinders for grinding and finishing applications on all metal types in wet or dry operating conditions.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by qualified personnel with the grinder powered down and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that belt tracking and tension are set correctly before resuming operation. Inspect the belt and backstand platens for damage before each use. Do not exceed the rated speed of the belt or the backstand grinder.
