The 3M 7010360543 is an aluminum oxide coated cloth sanding belt designed for demanding material removal tasks in metalworking and woodworking environments. Built on an X-weight cloth backing, this belt handles heavy sanding and grinding loads without breaking down under high heat or pressure. The resin bond system locks the abrasive mineral firmly in place, allowing the belt to cut fast and maintain consistent performance across a range of substrates. At 48 inches long and 25 inches wide, it is sized for wide belt sanding equipment and is also compatible with edge and portable belt sanders. Licensed tradespeople and shop technicians working metal fabrication and finishing operations are the primary users.
This belt is engineered for metal deburring, general metalworking, and select woodworking applications. Its tube-shaped construction allows it to conform to inner and outer contours, making it effective for removing parting lines, surface imperfections, and burrs from metal workpieces. The belt can also be mounted on a rubber expander wheel attachment for use with a die grinder or rotary drill, expanding its range of use in tight or contoured areas. It is suitable for production environments and job-site use where consistent stock removal at 80 grit is required.
Suitable for wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanding equipment. Can also be mounted on a rubber expander wheel attachment, sold separately, for use with die grinders or rotary drills.
Disconnect and de-energize all equipment before mounting or removing sanding belts. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the equipment manufacturer guidelines before operating. Inspect the belt for tears, fraying, or glazing before each use and replace if damage is found. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive belt equipment.
