The 3M 7010360371 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal and contoured surfaces. It uses microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear down during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. The result is a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. At 72 inches long and 3 inches wide, it fits standard industrial belt finishing machines used in fabrication and metalworking shops.
This belt is suited for robotic and automated finishing applications where consistent, repeatable results are required across high production volumes. It is also used in manual bench and stroke sanding operations for pre-plate and pre-buff surface preparation on metal parts. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and irregular workpiece profiles, maintaining contact across curved surfaces without bridging. Typical users include metal fabricators, machinists, and surface finishing technicians who require finer finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasives can deliver.
Designed for use on standard industrial belt finishing and stroke sanding machines that accept 72-inch by 3-inch abrasive belts. Suitable for metalworking applications requiring fine surface preparation before plating or buffing operations.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the machine manufacturer's tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and de-energize the finishing machine completely before changing belts. Verify belt direction-of-travel arrow aligns with machine drive rotation before startup. Inspect the contact wheel or platen for wear or damage before mounting a new belt.
