The 3M 7010360361 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in metal fabrication and surface preparation applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and predictable surface finish throughout the life of the belt. At 168 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, this belt is sized for wide-format belt grinders and automated finishing systems used in production environments.
This belt is intended for professional use in metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and automated robotic finishing lines. It is well-suited for ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a controlled, repeatable surface finish is required prior to plating, buffing, or polishing operations. The flexible cloth backing allows the belt to conform to contoured workpiece surfaces, making it appropriate for both flat stock and profiled parts. It is sold individually as a single belt.
Designed for use on belt grinders and automated finishing systems that accept 168 inch by 1.5 inch abrasive belts. Verify drive contact wheel diameter, belt speed rating, and tensioner clearance before installation.
Installation should be performed by qualified grinding or fabrication technicians familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the belt grinder before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the contact wheel and idler for wear or damage prior to installation, as surface irregularities will affect finish quality. Follow the equipment manufacturer guidelines for belt tracking adjustment and tension to prevent premature belt failure.
