The 3M 7010359926 is a coated abrasive belt designed for high-demand stock removal and metal finishing applications. It uses a blend of ceramic abrasive grain and aluminum oxide bonded to a heavyweight polyester cloth backing. The ceramic-aluminum oxide grain blend cuts faster and lasts longer than traditional aluminum oxide, making it well suited for grinding, blending, and finishing on steel, stainless steel, and other metals. The durable resin bond resists heat deterioration, extending belt service life. The belt can be run dry or with a lubricant, and a built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup when working stainless steel.
This belt is used in industrial and fabrication settings where consistent metal removal and surface finishing are required. Typical applications include weld blending, deburring, and surface prep on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The heavyweight cloth backing holds up under high contact pressure and performs reliably on heat-sensitive metals. It is suited for use on stationary belt grinders and similar equipment in shop environments. The orange color coding helps identify grit and belt type during use.
Designed for use on belt grinders and abrasive belt machines accepting 118-inch by 3-inch belts in industrial metal fabrication and finishing applications.
Belt installation should be performed with the grinder or sander powered off and unplugged. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the machine manufacturer's guidelines before starting. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage before each use. Ensure the belt arrow or splice direction matches the machine's direction of travel to avoid premature belt failure.
