The 3M 7010359774 is a coated abrasive cloth belt designed for general metalworking applications in shop and field environments. Built on a flexible cloth backing, this belt uses closed-coat aluminum oxide construction to deliver consistent, fine surface finishes during dry sanding operations. At 64 inches long and 1 inch wide with a 320 grit rating, it is suited for finish refinement and blending on metal surfaces. The aluminum oxide mineral cuts aggressively relative to its fine grit rating and holds up well across repeated passes. A glue bond secures the abrasive layer uniformly, supporting repeatable results on flat and contoured metal workpieces. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the typical end users.
This belt is used in general metal finishing workflows including repairing surface blemishes, blending weld seams, and refining finish quality on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The closed-coat construction leaves minimal gaps between abrasive grains, which produces a uniform scratch pattern at 320 grit. The flexible cloth backing allows the belt to conform moderately to surface contours, making it useful on both flat stock and slightly curved components in dry sanding setups. It is sold individually (each) with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed for use on belt sanders accepting a 64-inch by 1-inch abrasive belt in dry sanding applications on metal substrates.
Belt installation and replacement should be performed by qualified shop personnel or maintenance technicians familiar with belt sander equipment. Power down and lock out the sander before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the equipment manufacturer's specifications before resuming operation. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and respiratory protection when sanding metal.
