The 3M 7010359752 is a coated abrasive belt designed for aggressive stock removal and finishing on metal and other hard surfaces. Built on a polyester cloth backing with a YF backing weight, it uses ceramic aluminum oxide grain in a closed-coat configuration. At 120 grit, this belt falls in the fine grade range, making it suitable for intermediate-to-finish grinding passes where surface quality matters. The 777F series construction supports both wet and dry operation, giving technicians and fabricators flexibility depending on their setup and material requirements. This is a single-piece belt sold individually.
This belt is used in stationary and portable belt grinder applications where consistent grain breakdown and heat resistance are priorities. The ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive self-sharpens as it wears, maintaining cut rate longer than aluminum oxide or zirconia belts in comparable conditions. At 1.5 inches wide and 60 inches long, this belt fits standard 1.5 by 60 inch belt grinding machines commonly found in metal fabrication shops, HVAC ductwork shops, and general maintenance environments. Fine grade 120 grit makes it appropriate for weld blending, deburring, and prep work before coating or inspection.
Designed for use on belt grinding machines that accept 1.5 inch wide by 60 inch long abrasive belts. Suitable for metal, alloys, and other hard materials in wet or dry grinding applications.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with belt grinder safety procedures. Confirm the machine is powered off and unplugged before changing belts. Check belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before operating. Inspect the belt for cracks or damage at the splice before each use and discard any belt showing signs of delamination or backing failure.
