The 3M 7010359747 is a coated abrasive belt engineered for demanding stock removal and metal finishing applications. It combines 3M ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a blend that cuts faster and lasts longer than standard aluminum oxide belts. The heavyweight polyester cloth backing handles high-pressure machine operation and can be run dry or with lubricant, making it suitable for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metal grinding tasks. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat buildup during use, which is especially important when working with heat-sensitive metals such as stainless steel. This belt is used by fabrication shops, metalworkers, and finishing professionals on stationary and portable belt grinding equipment.
This belt is sized at 48 inches long by 2 inches wide with a 36 grit rating, placing it in the coarse cutting range. It is well suited for weld seam removal, surface conditioning, and aggressive stock removal on steel, stainless steel, and other metals. The orange backing is characteristic of the 777F series. It performs consistently in production environments where belt longevity and reduced changeover time are priorities.
Designed for use on stationary and portable belt grinders and sanders that accept a 48 inch by 2 inch abrasive belt in coated-abrasive applications on metal substrates.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel following all equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable OSHA abrasive wheel and belt safety standards. Power down and lock out the grinder or sander before mounting or removing the belt. Confirm belt tracking and tension before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for damage before each use and replace immediately if tears, fraying, or splice separation are observed.
