The 3M 7010359634 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications in industrial and metalworking environments. It uses 3M microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and predictable finish quality throughout the life of the belt. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 2 inches in width and weighs approximately 0.27 pounds.
This belt is suited for automated and robotic finishing lines as well as manual belt grinding operations where consistent, repeatable surface finishes are required. Typical applications include intermediate stock removal, fine finishing, and surface preparation prior to plating or buffing on metal workpieces. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and complex surfaces, making it effective on parts that are not flat. It is commonly installed and operated by industrial maintenance technicians, metalworking fabricators, and surface finishing specialists.
Designed for use on belt grinding and finishing machines that accept a 132-inch by 2-inch abrasive belt. Confirm drive wheel and contact wheel dimensions on the host machine before installation.
Install and tension the belt per the belt grinder or finishing machine manufacturer's specifications before powering on the machine. Ensure the machine is fully de-energized and locked out before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the belt for cracks, tears, or delamination before each use and do not operate a damaged belt. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves during belt changes and operation.
