The 3M 7010350262 is a multiple-wall, semi-rigid heat shrink tubing designed for demanding electrical insulation and wire termination applications. Built from co-extruded, selectively cross-linked polyolefin, it features a 2.5:1 shrink ratio and an integral meltable inner wall that flows into voids and irregularities upon activation, creating a sealed, moisture-resistant bond. Each piece measures 6 inches in length. This tubing is installed by licensed electricians and electronics technicians who require a reliable, dual-wall sleeve for protecting splices, terminals, and connector entry points.
This tubing is suited for electrical and electronic applications where both environmental sealing and mechanical protection are required. The meltable inner wall makes it well-suited for cable harnessing, wire splicing, and connector backshell protection in industrial, commercial, and panel wiring environments. Each pack contains 10 pieces at 6 inches each, providing enough material for multiple terminations per job. Cases contain 10 packs for high-volume shop or field use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock heat shrink sleeve for use in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical wiring and termination applications where dual-wall polyolefin tubing is specified.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying any heat shrink sleeving to live conductors or terminals. Use a calibrated heat gun set to the appropriate recovery temperature and move it evenly along the length of the tubing to achieve uniform shrink and full inner-wall adhesion. Avoid open flame, as uneven heat can cause incomplete recovery or damage to the substrate wire insulation.
