The 3M 7010350256 is a multiple-wall polyolefin heat shrink tubing designed to provide environmental protection for wire splices, wire bundles, harness breakouts, and electronic components. Sold as a pack of 10 individual pieces, each piece measures 6 inches in length with a 0.700 inch diameter. The multi-wall construction combines an outer polyolefin layer with an inner adhesive lining that flows when heated, sealing out moisture and contaminants. Electricians, harness technicians, and field service techs use this tubing where a durable, sealed connection is required in demanding environments.
This tubing is suited for residential and commercial electrical applications, automotive wiring harness repairs, marine wiring, and industrial control panel work. The black finish provides UV resistance for exposed installations. The 6 inch cut length makes it practical for most standard splice and termination jobs without trimming. It is commonly used wherever wire splices or connector backshells require both mechanical protection and environmental sealing.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink solution for wire splices, harness breakouts, and electronic component protection in electrical, automotive, marine, and industrial wiring applications.
Installation is performed by electricians, harness technicians, or qualified field service personnel. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any splice or termination point. Use a calibrated heat gun set to the appropriate temperature range for polyolefin tubing; open flame sources are not recommended as they can cause uneven shrinkage or damage the adhesive liner. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation and splice protection in the jurisdiction where the work is performed.
