The 3M 7010350196 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing designed for electrical insulation, bundling, and strain relief in industrial and military-grade wiring applications. Based on the FP-301 product line, this tubing delivers a reliable balance of electrical performance, physical durability, and chemical resistance. At 3/16 inch recovered diameter and 48 inches in length, it provides a practical run for single-wire insulation or multi-wire bundling tasks. Electricians, MRO technicians, and military contractors use this tubing where a clean, low-profile shrink sleeve is required over terminals, splices, or exposed conductors.
This tubing is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial wiring environments as well as military and aerospace harness work. It applies to applications where a thin-wall profile is preferred over heavy-wall alternatives — such as tight conduit runs, panel wiring, or instrumentation cable dressing. The 48-inch stick length makes it straightforward to cut to task-specific lengths in the field or on the bench.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for use over electrical conductors, terminals, splices, and wire bundles in industrial, commercial, and military wiring assemblies.
Installation is performed by electricians or wiring technicians using a calibrated heat gun or convection oven — open flame is not recommended for controlled shrink work. De-energize all circuits before applying tubing over live conductors or terminals. Cut tubing to the required length, slide over the conductor or splice, and apply uniform heat to achieve full, even shrink. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation ratings and conductor protection.
