The 3M 7010339864 is a plasticizer resistant nylon hook fastener tape engineered for demanding bonding applications where conventional fasteners fail due to plasticizer migration. The hook side is backed with a plasticizer resistant PSA acrylic adhesive carried on a clear 3.5 mil polyethylene film liner. Engaged thickness measures 3.1 mm. The tape delivers reliable medium-temperature performance and bonds well to paint, bare metal, painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. It is rated for both high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) substrates. Licensed HVAC, electrical, and general trade contractors use this tape in panel assembly, component mounting, and access cover applications.
This fastener roll is designed for indoor use in residential and commercial settings where a reusable mechanical fastening solution is needed. Each roll measures 4 inches wide by 50 yards long, providing substantial coverage per roll. It is sold in a minimum quantity of 4 rolls per order. The SJ3522 hook side mates with the 3M SJ3523 loop fastener to form a complete hook-and-loop assembly. Typical applications include securing insulation panels, wire bundles, access doors, and lightweight equipment covers.
The SJ3522 hook fastener is designed to mate with the 3M SJ3523 loop fastener. Suitable for bonding to paint, bare and painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastic surfaces in indoor applications.
Surface preparation is critical for maximum adhesive performance — clean and dry all bonding surfaces before application and allow solvents to fully evaporate. Apply firm pressure across the full tape area to ensure proper adhesive contact. This product is rated for indoor use only; do not install in exterior or high-humidity environments without confirming suitability. Allow adequate dwell time after application before applying load to the bond.
