The 3M 7010335497 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape built around a 300 high-strength acrylic adhesive carried on a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. At 24 inches wide and 60 yards long, it delivers a large working area suited to continuous laminating and splicing operations. The acrylic adhesive provides high initial tack and bonds aggressively to both high surface energy and low surface energy materials, making it a reliable choice for demanding bonding applications across a wide range of substrates. Licensed trades and industrial assembly technicians use this tape where a thin, high-performance adhesive layer is required without added carrier thickness.
This tape is suited to general-purpose transfer bonding in light industrial, sign-making, fabrication, and assembly environments. Typical applications include splicing films, foils, and fabrics, as well as laminating foams, photographs, fabrics, and metal or plastic nameplates. The 24-inch roll width accommodates wide-format work and reduces the number of seams needed in large laminating jobs. It serves as a thicker-profile alternative to the 3M 927 transfer tape where additional adhesive build is required.
Designed for bonding a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials including films, foils, fabrics, foams, photos, and metal or plastic nameplates where an aggressive, high-tack adhesive transfer is required.
Surface preparation is critical for adhesive transfer tapes — clean, dry, and dust-free surfaces improve bond strength significantly. Apply firm, uniform pressure across the full bond area after positioning. Remove the liner cleanly and avoid stretching the adhesive film during transfer. For best results, allow the bond to dwell at room temperature before subjecting it to stress or environmental exposure.
