The 3M 7010334662 is a white vinyl tape from the 3M 471 series, featuring a 5.2 mil vinyl backing bonded to a rubber-based adhesive. It is designed for lane marking, safety marking, color coding, abrasion protection, decoration, and splicing applications. The vinyl construction maintains color under heavy abrasion and conforms readily to curved or irregular surfaces. Dead-stretch properties help produce straight, clean lines. The tape removes cleanly without adhesive residue and offers good resistance to solvents, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial environments.
This tape is used in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, warehousing, and light industrial settings where durable floor and surface marking is required. At 1/2 inch wide and 300 yards per roll, a single roll covers extensive runs of lane or safety marking. It is also used for masking, wrapping, sealing, and splicing curved or irregular surfaces where conformability is critical. Installers in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance trades reach for 471-series tape when a conformable, long-wearing vinyl tape is needed.
Designed for general-purpose lane marking, safety marking, color coding, masking, wrapping, and splicing on smooth to moderately irregular surfaces in industrial and commercial environments.
Surface should be clean, dry, and free of oil or dust before application for best adhesion. Apply with consistent hand pressure or a tape applicator tool to ensure full contact along the tape edge. When using for floor lane marking, allow traffic to avoid the freshly applied tape until it has fully seated. Remove tape by pulling back at a low angle to the surface to support clean, residue-free removal.
