The 3M 7010334401 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape built around a 300 high-strength acrylic adhesive carried on a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. The tape delivers aggressive initial adhesion and strong long-term bond strength across both high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) substrates. At 5.0 mil total thickness, it is the thicker counterpart to the 3M 927 and suits applications where a more robust adhesive layer is needed without adding a visible film carrier. The roll measures 1 inch wide by 180 yards long and weighs 1.21 pounds. It is rated UL approved and meets US government specification MIL-P-19834B, Amendment 1.
This transfer tape is designed for general-purpose bonding in trade, industrial, and light manufacturing environments. Typical applications include splicing of films, foils, and fabrics, as well as laminating foams, photographs, fabrics, and metal or plastic nameplates. Its good UV resistance and chemical resistance make it suitable for use in demanding environments where adhesive degradation from exposure is a concern. Technicians and fabricators working with dissimilar materials benefit from its ability to bond across a wide range of substrates in a single thin adhesive layer.
Designed for bonding a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials including films, foils, fabrics, foams, metal nameplates, and plastic nameplates where a high-tack, thin adhesive layer is required.
Surface preparation is critical for maximum bond strength — clean and dry all substrates thoroughly before application. Apply firm pressure across the full bond area to ensure full adhesive contact. Once the liner is removed and the adhesive contacts the substrate, repositioning is not recommended due to the high initial tack. Follow all applicable workplace safety guidelines when handling adhesive products in enclosed spaces.
