The 3M 7010334209 is an acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for general-purpose surface bonding across a wide range of substrates. The high-tack acrylic adhesive bonds reliably to low surface energy (LSE) plastics, foams, and other difficult-to-bond materials where conventional tapes often fail. Each roll measures 2 inches wide by 60 yards long and carries a 60-pound Densified Kraft liner that supports clean, accurate die-cutting operations. Short-term heat resistance holds up to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for applications that see moderate temperature exposure. Installers and fabricators in HVAC, electrical, and general trade work use this tape when a minimal-profile bond line is required.
This transfer tape is suited for both residential and light commercial applications where a transparent, low-profile bond is needed on smooth or slightly textured surfaces. Common use cases include mounting foam gaskets, bonding nameplates, attaching insulation facing, and general assembly work where a visible adhesive bead is not acceptable. The tape performs well in die-cut part production due to its stable liner construction.
Designed for general-purpose adhesive transfer bonding to smooth and low surface energy substrates including LSE plastics and foam materials.
Surface preparation is critical — clean bonding surfaces with an appropriate solvent to remove oils, dust, and contaminants before application. Apply firm, even pressure across the full bond area to ensure full adhesive contact. This tape is intended for manual or die-cut application by fabricators and trade technicians; no special tools are required beyond a roller or squeegee. Avoid stretching the tape during application, as this can reduce long-term adhesion performance.
