The 3M 7010334203 is a thermosetable glass cloth tape designed for high-adhesion bonding and splicing applications where strength and temperature resistance are critical. This is the poly-linered version of 3M 365 tape, supplied with a white body and blue film liner at 8.3 mil total thickness. The glass cloth backing delivers high tensile strength and conformability, while the thermosetable rubber-resin adhesive provides aggressive holding power and flow characteristics that allow it to bond reliably to rough or low-strength surfaces. HVAC fabricators, insulation contractors, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This tape is suited for splicing and securing materials with rough surface profiles or limited internal strength, including roofing felt, textiles, insulation facings, and similar substrates. Its conformable backing allows it to seat into irregular surface contours without lifting or flagging. The thermosetable adhesive cures to a high-strength bond under heat, making it appropriate for applications where a permanent, durable splice is required. It is available in a 5-inch-wide by 60-yard roll format for coverage on wider seams and lap joints.
Designed as a poly-linered replacement version of 3M 365 tape, suitable for splicing roofing felt, textiles, and other materials with rough surfaces or low internal strength where high adhesion and a conformable backing are required.
Installation is typically performed by insulation contractors, HVAC sheet metal technicians, or industrial maintenance personnel. Surface should be clean, dry, and free of loose debris before tape application to ensure full adhesive contact. When thermoset cure is required, follow the system or process temperature guidelines applicable to the substrate being bonded. Do not stretch the backing excessively during application, as this may reduce conformability and adhesive contact area.
