The 3M 7010334060 is an adhesive transfer tape built on 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 350, delivering reliable bonding performance across a wide range of industrial and commercial assembly applications. At 2.0 mil thick, the tape bonds effectively to both high and low surface energy substrates, including powder coated paints. It is mounted on a tan 58 lb. PCK (polycoated kraft) paper liner that resists moisture and minimizes wrinkling during handling and application. The adhesive is fiber reinforced for roll stability in narrow widths, helping to prevent oozing during storage and use. Installers and assembly technicians working in light manufacturing, sign fabrication, and related trades rely on this tape for consistent, clean transfer application.
This transfer tape is suited for bonding dissimilar materials in both residential fixture assembly and light commercial manufacturing environments. It performs well in applications requiring short-term temperature exposure up to 450 degrees F and long-term exposure up to 300 degrees F. Typical use cases include laminating films and foils, mounting nameplates, attaching gaskets, and bonding plastics where solvent-based adhesives are not practical. The low-odor formulation makes it appropriate for use in enclosed or semi-enclosed work areas without special ventilation requirements.
Designed for bonding high and low surface energy materials including plastics, metals, powder coated paints, and foils in assembly and fabrication applications.
This tape is applied by hand or with a roller tool to clean, dry surfaces free of dust, oil, and loose particles. Surface preparation directly affects bond strength, so wipe substrates with an appropriate cleaner before application. Allow adequate dwell time after application before subjecting the bond to load or stress. No power disconnection or shutoff is required, but work area temperature should be within the adhesive manufacturer's recommended application range for best results.
