The 3M 7010330856 is a non-woven surface conditioning belt designed for one-step workpiece preparation ahead of final finishes and coatings. Built on FE material with an aluminum oxide abrasive, it delivers high initial and extended cut rates, making it a practical choice for deburring, blending, and edgework on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. The open web construction responds to surface irregularities, reducing the risk of gouging. Non-woven build provides long service life, flexibility, heat resistance, and a consistent cut rate throughout the belt's lifespan. The belt measures 20.5 inches in length and 0.75 inches in width.
This belt is suited for flat and edge applications where high contact pressure and stock removal are required. It performs best on ferrous materials and is designed for low-stretch applications. Typical use cases include weld blending, seam deburring, and pre-finish surface conditioning on fabricated metal parts. Metalworking fabricators, welders, and finishing technicians are the primary users in both shop and production environments. The belt is sold individually and is available with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys where high contact pressure surface conditioning is required. Confirm belt drive compatibility and tension specifications on the host machine before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and de-energize the belt grinder or finishing machine completely before changing belts. Confirm correct belt tracking and tension per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for damage before each use and replace if any tears or fraying are present.
