The 3M 7010330822 is a non-woven HP-grade abrasive disc designed for surface conditioning, deburring, and contaminant removal on metal substrates. The disc measures 7 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch arbor hole and uses aluminum oxide (AO) as the cutting mineral. HP material is stiffer and more tear-resistant than standard GP non-woven material, making it well-suited for edge deburring, light metal removal, and cleaning ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces. The open web construction resists loading, helping extend disc life in applications involving debris and scale. This disc is used by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance trades.
This disc is intended for angle grinder and disc sander applications in metal fabrication, maintenance, and surface prep work. Typical uses include removal of burrs from cut or drilled edges, stripping of tough surface contaminants, and preparation of metal surfaces prior to coating or welding. The aluminum oxide grain produces a consistent scratch pattern across ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The red color designation indicates aluminum oxide grain at a very fine (VFN) grade. This disc fits equipment with a 1/2 inch arbor and is sized for medium to heavy-duty handheld grinding tasks.
Designed for use with angle grinders and disc sanders accepting a 7 inch non-woven abrasive disc with a 1/2 inch arbor hole. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal surface conditioning and deburring applications.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the tool unplugged or the power source locked out. Verify that the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum rated speed of the disc before mounting. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use damaged or deformed discs. Eye protection and appropriate PPE should be worn during all grinding and surface conditioning operations.
