The 3M 7010330325 is an aluminum oxide unitized abrasive wheel from the Standard Abrasives 800 Series, designed for heavy-duty edge deburring and surface finishing on metal workpieces. This hard-density wheel measures 8 inches in diameter with a 3-inch arbor hole and delivers increased edge durability compared to lower-density unitized wheel series. The open web construction resists loading, extending service life during sustained material removal. Aluminum oxide mineral makes it suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including aluminum and stainless steel. Metal fabricators, maintenance technicians, and industrial grinding operators are the primary users of this wheel type.
This wheel is used in metal fabrication shops and industrial maintenance environments where consistent edge deburring, blending, and light polishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals are required. The 800 Series hard-density construction is particularly suited to stainless steel polishing and aggressive edge work where a softer wheel would wear too quickly. The wheel runs clockwise and counterclockwise, providing flexibility across a range of bench-mounted and handheld power tool setups. A unitized wheel mandrel is required for mounting and is sold separately.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit unitized abrasive wheel for bench grinders, angle grinders, and similar power tools equipped with a compatible unitized wheel mandrel accepting a 3-inch arbor and an 8-inch diameter wheel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety per ANSI B7.1 standards. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before mounting or removing the wheel. Always inspect the wheel for damage before use and confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the maximum rated speed of the wheel. A unitized wheel mandrel matched to the 3-inch arbor is required and must be properly torqued per the mandrel manufacturer specifications.
