The 3M 7010330286 is a 5-inch diameter silicon carbide unitized wheel in the Standard Abrasives 500 Series, designed for light-pressure blending, finishing, and polishing on flat and contoured workpieces. The soft, conformable density construction gives operators precise control in applications where close tolerances matter. The open web structure resists loading, extending abrasive service life. Trades including metal fabricators, sheet metal workers, and maintenance technicians use this wheel when fine surface finishing is required without aggressive material removal. It mounts to a compatible unitized wheel mandrel, sold separately.
This wheel is suited for light surface blending and finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including exotic alloys and titanium, as well as composite materials. The soft density and silicon carbide mineral make it appropriate for final-pass finishing, weld blending, and deburring on flat stock, tubing, and contoured components. It runs both clockwise and counterclockwise, providing added flexibility when pairing with bench-mounted or handheld rotary tools and machines. Minimum order quantity is 10 wheels per purchase.

Installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety and ANSI B7.1 guidelines. Ensure the tool spindle is fully stopped and power is disconnected before mounting or changing the wheel. Verify that the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the wheel speed rating before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and do not use a wheel that shows cracks, tears, or deformation.
