The 3M 7010329704 is a two-part methyl methacrylate (MMA) acrylic structural adhesive in a 200 mL cartridge, sold as the Scotch-Weld Acrylic Adhesive DP820. It uses a 1:1 mix ratio and is designed for bonding metals, wood, and most plastic surfaces where high overlap shear strength and peel strength are required. Work life after dispensing is 20 minutes, with handling strength reached at approximately 40 minutes. The adhesive cures to a light yellow color and is well suited for structural assembly applications in fabrication, manufacturing, and maintenance environments. Dispensing requires a compatible 200 mL EPX applicator and mix nozzles, neither of which are included with this cartridge.
The DP820 is intended for use in industrial and commercial bonding applications where a high-strength, impact-resistant structural bond is needed. Typical installation scenarios include metal assembly, composite panel bonding, wood subassembly, and plastic component joining. The adhesive performs well in applications exposed to vibration and impact loads, making it a practical choice for fabricators, millwrights, and maintenance technicians working across mixed-substrate assemblies. The 200 mL cartridge size is appropriate for medium-volume production or field repair work where controlled dispensing is critical.
Designed for use with the 3M Scotch-Weld EPX 200 mL applicator system. Mix nozzles sized for 200 mL, 1:1 ratio cartridges are required and sold separately. Bonds to metals, wood, and most plastic substrates.
Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before adhesive application. Dispense a small amount of mixed adhesive and discard before applying to the bond area to ensure the two components are fully combined. Allow the assembly to remain undisturbed until handling strength is achieved before applying load. Follow all applicable safety data sheet (SDS) guidance for ventilation and personal protective equipment when working with MMA-based adhesives.
