The 3M 7010329246 Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt is a nonwoven abrasive belt designed for detail finishing, blending, deburring, and surface preparation on metal workpieces. Built on a reinforced scrim backing with an open-web nonwoven construction and aluminum oxide (AO) grain bonded with resin, this belt measures 36 inches in length by 4 inches in width. It is intended for use on portable and stationary belt finishing equipment operated by metal fabricators, welders, and industrial finishing technicians who require consistent, repeatable surface results.
This belt is suited for applications including blending weld seams, cleaning oxidized surfaces, deburring cut edges, contour finishing, setting the grain on stainless steel, and achieving straightline-brushed finishes on a wide variety of metals. Its conformable open-web structure makes it effective for both flat and complex-shaped workpieces, including robotic processing environments where consistent abrasive contact is critical. Minimum order quantity is 10 belts per unit of sale.
Designed for use on standard belt finishing machines and portable abrasive belt tools that accept 36-inch by 4-inch belts; suitable for surface conditioning operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Installation should be performed by a qualified metalworking or industrial finishing technician following the equipment manufacturer's belt-mounting instructions. Ensure the machine is fully de-energized and the belt drive is at rest before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension before resuming operation, and confirm the belt is rated for the operating speed of the machine. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling abrasive belts and operating finishing equipment.
