The 3M 7010329208 is a Scotch-Brite surface conditioning belt designed for detail finishing work on metal surfaces. Built on a reinforced nonwoven open-web construction with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded in resin over a scrim backing, this belt measures 13 inches in length and 1/2 inch in width. It is engineered to blend, deburr, clean, and finish metals while reducing heat build-up and loading that can shorten belt life. Metalworking fabricators, tool-and-die shops, and maintenance technicians install this belt on narrow belt finishing tools for controlled surface work.
This belt is suited for applications including blending weld seams and corners, deburring cut edges, flat finishing, setting grain patterns, stainless steel finishing, and attaining straightline-brushed surface appearances. Its conformable nonwoven structure allows the abrasive to maintain consistent contact with contoured and complex-shaped parts, making it useful in both manual and robotic finishing operations across a range of metal fabrication and maintenance environments.
Designed for use on narrow belt finishing machines and detail finishing tools accepting 13 inch by 1/2 inch surface conditioning belts; suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metals including stainless steel.
Installation is performed by trained metalworking or maintenance personnel familiar with abrasive belt finishing equipment. Power down and de-energize the finishing tool completely before changing belts. Confirm belt tracking and tension per equipment manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Eye protection and appropriate PPE should be worn during belt changes and while the machine is running.
